It looks like the upstream 1.5.x development branch is based on Qt5. The 1.5.3 release notes say it's now stable enough to be used for actual workflows. What about uploading it at least to Debian experimental? If it's not too expensive maintenance-wise for your team, the benefits I would expect are: - Ensure it works fine with Qt5 in the Debian context, sufficiently ahead of the Buster freeze. - Allow people/projects who want to build Qt4-free system images based on Debian testing/sid to do so. For example, we're trying to make the development branch of Tails based on Buster Qt4-free. - Gather feedback from Debian early testers to upstream. Cheers, -- intrigeri
