Thanks for your report. I think the ivtv-utils have mostly been subsumed into v4l-utils or otherwise been made obsolete (the driver itself has been in the upstream kernel for ages). Personally I no longer have any ivtv based hardware (the UK switched to a digital broadcasting standard some time ago) to use or test with (well, TBH, I suspect I have some in a cupboard somewhere, but it is largely useless to me...). The upstream domain, ivtvdriver.org, appears to have lapsed and is now owned by some domain parking service. So I think removing ivtv-utils from Debian is probably the best answer. Unless someone from the X-Debbugs-Cc line suggests oherwise I will do so, lets say on or after 1 June 2018 (a bit over a week from today). I've CC-d the O: bug for this package too in case anyone else is subscribed to that. Ian.
