jemalloc 3.6.0-11 and earlier currently has an outstanding bug where the
built system's page size is hardcoded into the build (#843926). This is
hard to fix in 3.6, but I have attempted to resolve this in 5.0/5.1,
currently in experimental.

Given this bug seems to be reported from a ppc64 system running Ubuntu,
I think it's more than likely that this is an effect of that.
