thank you very much in investigating in this. IMO the bug is not yet to be closed because it's still not in stretch/backports. That means for all who run the latest stable debian with a backport kernel, zfs is still broken.

For me this means that I have to be _very_ careful in upgrading my systems to not to break it (i.e. don't upgrade the kernel).

I like debian for it's stability, both on my desktop and on my servers. But with the current situation, I either have to switch to a different filesystem (bad, none of the production ready fs have those features provided by ZFS), not to use backports (bad, the zfs version 0.6.x has several issues) or to switch my distribution (bad, debian is the best ;) ). So I'd really appreciate if those permanent ZFS issues could be finally fixed (e.g. by coordinating updated between the kernel maintainer and the zfs-dmks maintainer).
