hmm. i don't agree that "uses obsolete/buggy code" is a bug in itself. please be more specific (or file that bug against all non-trivial packages, as i doubt that any of them does not "use buggy code"). if you want libicu to be used, please report the issue upstream - and submit patches (i find upstream very appreciative). gfamsdr IOhannes
