To give you some feedback on this: I tried reproducing this the other day, but couldn't get it to fail. I'm guessing there's something else going on, some other process that holds onto the temporary directory. Generally improved error handling - including maybe an lsof/fuser run - might help (with debugging), but that will not help your case directly. Sorry, Chris
