Package: thunderbird
Version: 1:52.9.1-1
Severity: grave

Launching thunderbird, my display would get half-frozen : only the mouse
pointer was still moving, and changing (arrow, hand, etc) when it
hovered over different things. I think I could still move windows
around, because I could see it change when I take a window further (a
hand), and then the places where it turned into arrows to resize a
window border ( ->| ) seemed to correspond. I also could hear the sound
event of an incoming mail. But I didn't see the window actually moving,
I couldn't see when I click on a background icon, nor did panels spring
out when I moved the pointer to the side of the screen.

It was the only program showing the problem ; I had to go to the
console and restart lxdm to launch a new session!

I'm using the past tense : installing lightning made things work again.
I had the idea to install it because I tried to get as much information
as I could, tried to understand what could make it fail that didn't
concern firefox...

It also happened with 1:60.0~b10-1.

I hope that will help understand the issue...
