Package: mergerfs Version: 2.18.0-1 If I do a minimal install of Debian Stretch, install mergerfs, and attempt to mount something with it I get the fault [mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock]
I found that I was missing the fuse package. After running [apt-get install fuse] I was able to mount the mergerfs drives as expected with no other changes. I suggest adding fuse to the list of dependencies for this package I am running Debian 9.5.0-AMD64 and kernel 4.9.0-7-amd64
