I can't speak for the "Debian project" (we are even discussing about
it among us), but I think everybody here would be delighted to see
GFDL manuals to become dual-licensed.

It would probably not eliminate our concerns about the GFDL itself,
but at least we could include the manual in main for those packages
who dual-license them. I would call that a big improvement, yes.
