For some reason I cannot seem to subscribe by email to thunderbird bugs, even though I have no problem with other packages. In any case, yes, this problem (along with one or two others) has been "solved" for a while now by disabling the thunderbird apparmor profile. Unfortunately, I disabled it long enough ago that I don't have any of the error messages available in my logs any more. - Anne
