For what it's worth, I've switched to GhostText as a replacement: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghosttext/ https://github.com/GhostText/GhostText It requires an editor plugin, but any "it's all text" replacement will require some sort of userland support because the way webext works now.
