Honestly, that would make things much worse for GNOME users who happen to enjoy using Google Chrome than to just have the full-featured gnome metapackage install chrome-gnome-shell with support for all major browsers. Unless someone proposes a working patch for something better, I'll probably just implement the simple mkdir workaround in chrome-gnome-shell's postrm which will satisfy piuparts. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
