I did a first round of rebuilding packages. I rebuilt all the packages listed in main by "build-rdeps --old libboost-dev" (379 source packages). Around 70 packages fail with boost1.67, and they are listed here[1]. The first block of packages also fails with boost1.62, so the failure is most probably not due to the transition. For most of them a FTBFS bug is present in the BTS and is indicated. [1] https://salsa.debian.org/gio/rebuilder/blob/master/reasons The second block of packages have a failure that is rather clearly related to the new boost version. For most of them the problem is that something was moved to a different namespace or header, so the patch should not be complicated to write. The packages in the third block require more attention, because they fail with boost1.67 and not with boost1.62, but the cause is not evident. An exception is sagemath, for which the build stalls at some point, both with 1.62 and 1.67. In the next days I will study in more details the packages that require more attention, and I will try to write appropriate patches (possibly checking what can be recovered from Ubuntu).
