Package: libsmbclient Version: 2:4.7.6+dfsg~ubuntu-0ubuntu2.2 Severity: important
Dear Maintainer, the bug is caused by faulty samba servers running on debian stretch machines, but I don't have ssh access. So I report this bug from my client machine running Mint 19. The bug seems to be fixed upstream. Please look here for detailed error description and solution: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13204 (don't want to copy paste everything - hope that is ok) When I realized this bug I went to the #debian irc channel to ask what to do and they gave me advise to send the link in so that the fix can be cherry picked into current samba packet for stretch. Please excuse any mistakes. This is my very first debian bug report. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers bionic-updates APT policy: (500, 'bionic-updates'), (500, 'bionic-security'), (500, 'bionic-backports'), (500, 'bionic') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.15.0-34-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE:de (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libsmbclient depends on: ii dpkg 1.19.0.5ubuntu2 ii libbsd0 0.8.7-1 ii libc6 2.27-3ubuntu1 ii libtalloc2 2.1.10-2ubuntu1 ii libtevent0 0.9.34-1 ii samba-libs 2:4.7.6+dfsg~ubuntu-0ubuntu2.2 libsmbclient recommends no packages. libsmbclient suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
