Hi,

I echo that it'd be strongly desirable to have a new tpm2-tools in Debian. The current version does not even talk to the TPM2 device by default, but instead requires explicit options to do so. Instead it assumes that you are using the tools against a software emulator.

To update tpm2-tools a new tpm2-tss is needed according to the matrix on https://github.com/tpm2-software/tpm2-tools/blob/master/INSTALL.md. I'm not sure yet if tpm2-abrmd would be required to be packaged as well, given that we should have the in-kernel resource manager available now.

If someone happens to need a sponsor for any of this, please let me know.

Kind regards and thanks
Philipp Kern
