Then the documentation needs to be fixed, it advises to use gcry_check_version (GCRYPT_VERSION) with https://codesearch.debian.net/search?q=gcry_check_version&perpkg=1 you can find a lot of packages using that. Perhaps a lintian error would need to be added to make sure that packages are not doing that. Samuel
