Hi, the dependency was not present so far because, in theory, pgagent could be running on a remote host without a local PostgreSQL server. Also, because the server-side part of the package is a SQL-only extension, there's no separate postgresql-*-pgagent binary packages. This is a hack, and the fact that the package behaves differently from the remaining modules has bitten me as well, so you are right in asking for a proper solution. I just uploaded a new package that adds a dependency on the list of server versions targeted (ORed). Cheers, Christoph
