A version of somaplayer that claims to be fixed has reached testing. I haven't been able to confirm that it works (no Etch box with a soundcard), but I do see a configuration flag "--sysconfdir=/etc" added to somaplayer_0.5.2.1.ds-1.diff, so it looks like at least one of these changes has worked. -- JBR Ankh kak!
