xfce4-hdaps is another Xfce panel plugin unmaintained upstream. The hardware also has evolved, there is a kernel module available for newer hardware but the panel plugin is unfortunately unlikely to be ever ported. xfce4-goodies stil suggests it but that will be removed in the next upload.
