I can confirm the bug. It is impossible to boot using latest kernel.
It was possible to boot using Grub menu either selecting an older kernel (4.18.0-3) or using « Recovery mode » and kernel 4.19.0-1. I tried to modify /etc/lvm/lvm.conf as explained but it did not work for me. Kind regards, Jean-Michel Pouré
