Hello Stephen,
I really beg your pardon: I did not read the full description and just
thought to install a software talking to standard devices not realizing
the need for the extra hardware.
There is no device attached to the computer, therefore everything works
as expected. Please, close the report. I wish this embarrassment could
be deleted permanently :-(
