Also, running dgit with a gazillion -D options will cause it to dump
out stuff about its config parsing, including a report of what it got
from git.  That migth be useful.

I quickly UTSL and I think -DDDDD is probably sufficient but say
-DDDDDDDDDD just to be sure :-).
