Removing the Blackdown JRE didn't change anything. So it's not only an interference with the Blackdown JRE. > Will disable -gcj. Yes, that's probably a good idea. BTW, my default Java environment is Sun's 1.5.0_06 , i. e. /etc/alternatives/java points to /usr/lib/j2sdk1.5-sun/bin/java (analogously javac etc.). Can this cause some of the problems?
