Package: marco Followup-For: Bug #885947 Version: 1.20.3-1
(I send this out of reporbug because I can not use it because due to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=905737) Dear Maintainer, on the regular disk, after updating marco to the latest version 1.20.3-1 and returning the default Window Manager from metacity to marco and restart, follow the same problem. Even on a clean disk, after installing a fresh DVD image from scratch (Official Snapshot amd64 DVD Binary-1 20190211-05:12), there are the same symptoms. As it seems to me a problem of the frequencies used for the refreshing of the monitor, I have carried out several tests, discovering the following: + The installation from fresh DVD image chooses by default a resolution of 1152x864 @ 75Hz: it does not work with marco but with metacity. + After temporarily changing the Window Manager in tty2 with 'metacity --replace' and going back to tty7 which looks good, I now change the screen resolution (System / Preferences / Hardware / Screens) to another lower resolution (1024x768 @ 75Hz ) or higher (1280x1024 @ 60Hz), and restart ... and the problem disappears! having the latest version of marco. For the above, I think the problem is in which marco does not delegate the monitor refresh rates well, while metacity does. What do you think? Unfortunately for me, the lower and upper resolution are very uncomfortable, returning to the previous situation with metacity, until a new marco's version to solve it. If you need any more information, I'll send it to you.
