Dear Salman, The problem is the incompatibility of the setup.py and debianhelper. It can be solved either with a patch in the Debian Package or directly in upstream. Solving it in the upstream is definitely a better idea, but it requires to test it in different operating systems, as it suppose to work in another operating systems as well.
The best help would be rewriting a compatible setup.py and send it to the upstream. -- Sincerely yours, Moein Alinaghian
