Hi Florian, thanks for the patch. When reading your report I toed recall the reason why I chose to signal pid 1 back then, but even after reading history I failed to find out why. It might be a good idea to look at similar packages that hook into sysv's inittab to see what they are doing. runit may be a candidate. Regards, Gerrit.
