Package: xoscope Version: 2.2-1+b1 Followup-For: Bug #888704 indeed, libasound2-dev needs to be added to Build-depends. things work fine after this is done.
note that esd support is also not built in due to being utterly obsolete. that's just fine, but i'd suggest to patch the man page accordingly.
