Package: zsh Version: 5.7.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #536459 I also find it annoying in zsh.
I did found, that adding this lines to ~/.zshrc makes it work: bindkey "^[[1;5C" forward-word bindkey "^[[1;5D" backward-word (I did discover it on https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/58870/ctrl-left-right-arrow-keys-issue) I am using Terminator. This happens both locally and over ssh in Terminator. It is annoying because I do have dozens of computers and servers, and I prefer not to edit any configs like ~/.zshrc and only use default settings, as this is much easier. So I often find myself just stopping using zsh and sticking to bash that works just fine with Ctrl+Arrow with my terminator and ssh. Regards!
