Package: libmariadb-dev-compat Version: 1:10.3.14-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, The /usr/bin/mysql_config build argument tool no longer supports the --libmysqld-libs option, which breaks the build of amarok: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=927991 This option is used to obtain build flags for the embedded DB library, libmysqld/libmariadbd. The library and corresponding build flags were removed in MySQL 8.0, but are still supported in MariaDB 10.3, which Debian ships. In the man page for mysql_config, this option is also mentioned, despite it not being supported. The problem stems from the fact that mysql_config is a symlink to mariadb_config, which also doesn't support this option. However, there is a shell script in the upstream source that does: https://github.com/MariaDB/server/blob/10.3/scripts/mysql_config.sh Please fix mariadb_config so it supports this option or replace the symlink with the shell script. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (300, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libmariadb-dev-compat depends on: ii libmariadb-dev 1:10.3.14-1 libmariadb-dev-compat recommends no packages. libmariadb-dev-compat suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
