In a stretch system where the /etc/logrotate.conf has been modified slightly, upgrading to buster and keeping the old configuration makes entries for wtmp and btmp to be duplicated, as they are now in separate files in logrotate.d. This makes the logrotate service to fail: /etc/logrotate.conf:18 duplicate log entry for /var/log/wtmp /etc/logrotate.conf:23 duplicate log entry for /var/log/btmp I don't know how to fix this easily (maybe we should not even try to fix it) but please consider writing something about it in a README or in the release notes for buster or both.
