Package: default-jre Version: 2:1.11-71 Severity: important I've just installed buster and I'm using sysvinit-core instead of systemd, when I ask to install default-jre (without recommends) apt-get asks me to remove sysvinit-core and install systemd.
Blacklisting systemd with apt pinning makes apt-get to install default-jre without touching sysvinit-core, but not always. Once I've got this error: The following packages have unmet dependencies: default-jre : Depends: openjdk-11-jre but it is not going to be installed Regards -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages default-jre depends on: ii default-jre-headless 2:1.11-71 pn openjdk-11-jre <none> default-jre recommends no packages. default-jre suggests no packages.
