I'm rising the severity since this causes errors in dose-debcheck, which might affect QA or other infrastructure: Fatal error in module deb/debcudf.ml: This should never happen : a provide can be either = or unversioned I also filed #930317 against dpkg to prevent creation of such packages in the future.
