Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I upgraded from jessie to stretch. I'm running nrpe from xinetd with xinetd
already dropping privileges for nrpe.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The daemon.log is spammed with nrpe[12610]: Warning: Could not set effective
GID=115

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

No warning in the logs, this just fills the disk.

This has been tackled upstream in 2017
https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nrpe/commit/13c2dcf9cf9ef2ab44473cf1c8abe690a5bdd857
https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nrpe/commit/aa0d1e05da4ae592f2738d44fe2f721c5c20988a

So patches are available.

Regards,
M. Braun
