For example: WAIT_ONLINE_METHOD="ifup" WAIT_ONLINE_IFACE="enp2s0" WAIT_ONLINE_ADDRESS="" WAIT_ONLINE_TIMEOUT=300 or: WAIT_ONLINE_METHOD="ping" WAIT_ONLINE_IFACE="" WAIT_ONLINE_ADDRESS="128.31.0.62" WAIT_ONLINE_TIMEOUT=300 See also /lib/ifupdown/wait-online.sh What is the content of /etc/network/interfaces?
