I did this already (even before reporting), but the side-effect of this is that I no longer enjoy eg. automatic release changes like going from python2.3-mysqldb to python2.4-mysqldb, should Python2.4 become the default Python version in Debian in the (hopefully) near future... > this bug will be automaticly fixed with the next source upload of > python-mysqldb, I thought as much, but nevertheless didn't want to let it slip.
