Package: unfs3 Version: 0.9.13+dfsg-1prolibre Severity: normal If one includes an entry in /etc/exports for a directory that does not exist, unfsd silently denies access to ANY exports (even valid ones) until the offending entries are removed. Although there is a warning in syslog in this case, there nothing on STDERR.
In contrast, nfs-user-server simply ignores any missing directory entries. Since some users might expect unfs3 to be an almost-drop-in replacement for nfs-user-server, it would help to have unfs3 follow this behavior. Until the problem is fixed, it would be nice to put a little warning somewhere in the README files. P.S. You can ignore the version number above: I just did a backport to woody. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux hulk 2.4.27prolibre #1 SMP Thu Jan 19 09:07:57 CET 2006 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fr_CH Versions of packages unfs3 depends on: ii libc6 2.2.5-11.8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii portmap 5-2 The RPC portmapper -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
