Additional evidence that the bug is in perlmagick/libmagick is that the original "webmagick" program works fine when used with Graphics::Magick in place of Image::Magick. (Graphics::Magick is found in "libgraphics-magick-perl". GraphicsMagick is a fork of ImageMagick which aims to be more stable than the original.) Regards, Kapil. --
