>From the fedora packages description: OrangeFS (formerly PVFS2) is a high-performance parallel network file system designed for use on high performance computing systems. It provides very high performance access to disk storage for parallel applications. It is accessible through a variety of interfaces, including the native OrangeFS library, the kernel, FUSE, and MPI-IO. CONFIG_ORANGEFS_FS has been enabled as module since 4.19.5-1~exp1, cf. #911743. But in Debian the respective userland tools are not present. They are for instance in Fedora https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/orangefs . I have not idea if it's feasible to maintain it but depending on if yes this could permit alternatives to other ones (as well not present in Debian) like BeeGFS. Anyone interested in evaluating orangefs within Debian? Regards, Salvatore
