Before that I will have to find a way to ship around other bugs of the combination wxWidgets/GTK3, though, that make it hard to see if the "scroll" sample, if it would work, would flicker (see https://www.peterpall.de/wxMaxima/debian/FlickerScreenshot1.png). Making separate bug reports for that, too, and bisecting them costs more time than I currently have at hand. Which is why I asked if we absolutely need to switch to GTK3. Kind regards, Gunter.
