A lot is excluded in advance from the packaging Git:

Files-Excluded: */libQGLViewer*

                */gtest
                */qwt*
                */eigen-3*
                */newmat
                */extlibs/json
                */tinyxml
                */*.dll
                */*.lib
                */SuiteSparse

Some of these previously resided in SofaKernel/extlibs before
the removal.
