Package: man-db Version: 2.8.5-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
man1/man.1.gz manpage should document all enviroment variables it uses. It includes: - MAN_DISABLE_SECCOMP=1 - PIPELINE_DEBUG=1 Those are usually only used for debugging, but so is MAN_KEEP_STDERR, which is correctly documented in man(1) manpage. Having them undocumented/unmentioned makes a life much more complicated for casual bug reporter, and sysadmins trying to troubleshoot apparmor/seccomp related bugs. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (90, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=hr_HR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=hr_HR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=hr_HR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages man-db depends on: ii bsdmainutils 11.1.2+b1 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.71 ii dpkg 1.19.7 ii groff-base 1.22.4-3 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libgdbm6 1.18.1-4 ii libpipeline1 1.5.1-2 ii libseccomp2 2.4.1-2~bpo10+1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 man-db recommends no packages.
