Package: zenity Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I write this as a followup of #927155, now that synaptic no longer depends on zenity. Installing zenity as a dependency for any package pulls libwebkit2gtk, libwebkit2gtk pulls libenchant, libenchant pulls aspell-en and the rest and we end up with 100+MB of useless stuff. So please add what is not really necessary as recommended or suggested dependency. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages zenity depends on: ii libc6 2.29-2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.40.0+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.62.1-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.12-1 ii libnotify4 0.7.8-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.42.4-7 pn libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 <none> ii libx11-6 2:1.6.8-1 pn zenity-common <none> zenity recommends no packages. zenity suggests no packages.
