Hi, when running sid the transition tracker is the best friend one can have. Second best friend is apt - i might sound old fashioned, but GUI tools don't give so much hints about not wanted package removals or reasons for not installing certain packages - so in case apt want to remove x packages - just hit <n> and find out the reason - on my work horse currently 106 packages are to be removed :D - the key word is patience. And while waiting one can use the time to gather some additional knowledge. (I learned it the very hard way years ago :P) Cheers Alf
