Might also be related to compositing. > Maybe those hints help you further investigation this issue. well, I have no clue about Qt, and I am using the standard awesome with no special addons that I am aware of - just as it comes with buster, plus a memory/cpu/battery widget. Every other program, like eg. pavucontrol, screengrab, nm-applet, vlc, radiotray, redshift-gtk etc., has no problems adding itself to the tray. The systray is, to the best of my very limited knowledge, a builtin feature of awesome. You have it if you just install awesome. Now what... Cheers, Toni
