I don't understand why you are getting any issue at all. libhwloc-plugins is available in version 2.1.0+dfsg-2, which should be alright. What is preventing your apt from just upgrading it? When I try the upgrade, I'm getting: # apt-get dist-upgrade Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Calculating upgrade... Done The following NEW packages will be installed: libhwloc15 The following packages will be upgraded: libhwloc-dev libhwloc-plugins 2 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
