I read that Tulip has been removed from Debian, but I want to say that
Tulip is a first class program that let you do easy some analysis that
only professional software can do.
I read that it is removed because:
1) python2-only
it is not true. Tulip 5.3 work with Python 3.7[¹]
2) dead upstream;
it is not true. It has changed his home page, as I have reported in the
bug report #851840: -> tulip: wrong project home page
3) RC-buggy; low popcon
in Debian there was a very old version, so who want to use it need to
install the upstream latest version.
It can seem very difficult to use, but it is not true, or that you don't
have need of it, but it can manage a very large set of data and give you
visual information that let you understand things that can be hard to
detect elsewhere.
I'm very displeased that this very good piece of software is not in
Debian :-(
Ciao
