Package: intel-microcode
Version: 3.20190618.1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

This bug seems to be the same as the following one reported on ubuntu bug tracker. It seems to affect intel xeon W family (2145 for me and 2125 on ubuntu bug tracker)

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-microcode/+bug/1855784

I just upgraded intel-microcode from an old version (can't remember which one) to 3.20191112.1~deb10u1 and I wasn't able to boot properly anymore.

As a workaround, I removed non-free from debian-security repo to get intel-microcode from stable repo (3.20190618.1) instead of stable-sec current version.

Someone told me that last working version on this CPU family is 20190918

I hope this bug report will help to track this issue when (and if) intel fixes it.

Regards,
