A RX580? I have an old Radeon HD 7750; I had expected you to have a similar
graphics card to me, but apparently not.

I think it would be useful if you added the information about your GPU and
driver to the upstream bug report at
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1036725
