I tried exactly the same steps but for me saving the files after changing metadata is working. > There is no custom .local file for exfalso. This happens for all > files I've tried in ~/Music. The exfalso profile also has private-cache (for .cache) and private-tmp. Do you have set these directories (where perhaps the files are saved temporarily) somewhere as read-only or even blacklisted?
