Do you have any setting in mind that you would want to put into such
a system-wide config snippet for nano?  (But in my opinion, the machine
admin should not configure anything in a personal tool like an editor.)

However, even with such a config snippet mechanism, the problem that
--rcfile can be used to avoid (the main nanorc file including syntaxes
that I don't want) cannot be solved.

Anyway, if you think that an included file should be allowed to
contain any setting and option, not just syntax definitions, the
place to post such a request is Savannah:
